The Institute for Mastery and Integration (IMI) is now accepting proposals for its 2022 Continuing Education Series of workshops offered throughout the year. IMI specifically attracts, trains, and consults with human services practitioners invested in understanding and influencing evolving dynamics in their respective arenas, both at the macro policy and direct services levels. IMI brings together practice professionals from child and family serving systems in the region to engage in cross disciplinary dialogue that results in measurable change in the way we practice, advocate, share new vision, and engage systems at every level. Sessions are designed to create collaborative and collective learning across sectors to advance programs, services, and strategies that enhance the well-being of children and strengthen families.  The Continuing Education Series is a series of educational workshops scheduled throughout the year. IMI is soliciting proposals for presentations on relevant and emerging topics for the time periods covered below:

Submissions will be reviewed and notifications of acceptance will be emailed by May 15, 2022. IMI will coordinate a specific workshop date that is convenient for the presenter.

IMI is interested in receiving proposals that are responsive to the theme(s) of the month and how it relates to one of the presentation topics. We encourage a range of expressions of knowledge and presentations relevant to critical and emerging social work topics (education, practice, research, etc.) across the human services professional practice.

Presentation Topics. Select a subject area that specifically addresses human service professional competencies:

  • Behavioral and Mental Health
  • Immigration and forced migration
  • Human Trafficking

Presentation Formats

Each presentation must be 2 or 3 hours. In your proposal, please describe how you plan on presenting your material. Possible formats may include:

Didactic Presentations. These are usually in lecture format, accompanied by slides or images. Didactic presentations can include one or more presenters.

Interactive Workshop. An interactive workshop combines the presentation of ideas with learning exercises that engage the presentation audience. If you would like to do an interactive workshop, please provide information about the kind of learning exercises that you will include in your presentation.


Proposal Information: Proposals must include the following information.

Name(s), credentials, and email addresses of the presenter(s)A brief biography (250 words maximum) and resumeTitle of Presentation (10 words maximum)Presentation Abstract (300 – 500 words maximum) includes a description of the topic and purpose the proposed presentation, including identification of the target audience and a description of the format. Please describe how time will be allotted to presenters, discussion, Q&A, etc., as applicable. Learning Objectives specific to the workshop theme and the session topic (a total of 3-5)Course Schedule Outline detailed list with time, topic, activity.

All proposals must be submitted online. The deadline to submit your proposal for the 2022 Continuing Education Series is 11:59 PM EST, April 7, 2022. Please follow the instructions and guidelines below while preparing your submission.
